Mrs. Hendry’s Newsletter December 4, 2017
We have a lot to work on in class for the next few weeks! This week, are focus will be on the Letter ‘Rr’, the #5 and the shape of a star. Not only will we be working on the recognition of them, but also practice writing/drawing them. The children will also be counting to five all week with many different Christmas themed exercises.
Next week, the week of the 11th-15th, we will jump on to learning about the letter ‘Nn’ and our #6. Just a reminder that I follow the “Learning Without Tears” curriculum when teaching the children their letters. This is why I go in a particular order when introducing them to the students. Feel free to look at their website to get any more clarification on this, or ask me. The website is LwTears.com.
The students will be doing all sorts of Christmas crafts also throughout the next few weeks. We are making ornaments for our class tree, but will be sent home with the children before our break.
